About the Owner
Louise M. Trammell started her advertising career as a part-time secretary at a small Atlanta agency in 1975. After advancing quickly within the firm, she moved to Mace Advertising, where she coordinated television and radio for the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company in seven southeastern states. Next came a Junior Account Executive position with Burton-Campbell Advertising, one of Atlanta’s largest independently owned agencies. She was soon promoted to Account Executive, managing financial accounts for First Union National Bank and National Bank of Georgia.
In 1983, Louise returned to her native Anderson, South Carolina to start a family. She rejoined the advertising field in 1986, and founded her own company, Martin Advertising, in 1989. She operated the agency with one employee out of her home for 17 years, until business growth led to a suite of offices on Greenville Street in Anderson. Now 25 years strong, Martin Advertising is a $1,000,000 full-service company, and Anderson’s only advertising agency.
Louise is married to Anderson attorney Ernie Trammell, and has a 30-year-old son, Roy, who is also an attorney. She is past President of the Anderson Advisory Board for The American Red Cross and is a member of the Tiffany Circle. Past board service includes the American Cancer Society, Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium (GAMAC), and the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and is the chair of the Evangelism Committee. Her hobbies include travel, gardening, cooking, and leisure time at the lake, at the beach and in Clemson.
